PROGRAMME OFFERED WITH ADMISSION REQUIREMENT
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Quantity Surveying (Full Time)
Admission Requirement:
Admission into the programme is through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB); either by:
(i) the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME); or
(ii) the Direct Entry (DE); Successful candidates in either of the options will also be required to undergo a screening/aptitude test organized by the University.
Admission through UTME
Candidates seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) should meet the following requirements:
(1) Any, or a combination, of the following, (in not more than two sittings);
(a) Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC);
(b) General Certificate of Education (GCE);
(c) National Examination Council Certificate (NECO);
(d) Any other certificates recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC), and this University; with five (5) subjects at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, in addition to one subject selected from Building Construction, Biology, Economics, Geography, Fine Arts, Land Surveying or Technical Drawing; with a minimum of D7 in Economics.
(2) Satisfactory performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
(3) Satisfactory performance in the Screening/Aptitude Test organized by the University.
(4) The following subjects must be selected for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME):
(a) English Language (b) Mathematics (c) Physics (d) any other subject from chemistry, economics, geography, or fine arts.
Admission through Direct Entry
Candidates seeking admission into the programme by Direct Entry, in addition to satisfying the UME requirements, should possess any of the following:
(a) Admission into 200 level of the Programme:
(i) National Diploma (Upper or Lower credit) from recognized institutions
(ii) Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit, from recognized institutions.
(iii) Bachelor’s degree (except in building), from this University or any other recognized institutions.
(iv) GCE at Advanced level in not less than two papers including Physics and Mathematics in one sitting.
(v) Satisfactory performance at the screening/aptitude test organized by the University.
(b) Admission into 300 level of the Programme
(i) Higher National Diploma (HND), with Upper Credit, in Quantity Surveying.
(ii) Higher National Diploma in Building with Upper Credit or Bachelor’s degree in building from this University or any other recognized institutions.
(iii) Satisfactory performance at the screening/aptitude test organized by the department and approved by the University.
