Dr. Thomas Akinbayo Adigun is the University Librarian, University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He is an accomplished scholar and seasoned academic librarian. Dr. Adigun brings over three decades of experience in academic librarianship, teaching, research, community, and university administration. Prior to his appointment, he served as Sabbatical Lecturer at the University of Ilorin, and he had previously held positions of University Librarian at the University of Jos, Bowen University, and Crawford University.

His professional career also spans notable institutions, including the University of Swaziland, Southern Africa, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, and Africa Rice Center, Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. A respected scholar in Library and Information Science, Dr. Adigun has contributed extensively to research and professional development in areas of digital libraries, information technology, knowledge management, and academic library services.
