Dr. AyodejiAGBOKE AYODEJI AKEEM, Ph.D, MPSN Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, married with four children, graduated from University of Nigeria with Barchelor of Pharmacy 1994, He served in 1995 in University of Uyo Health centre and Faculty of Pharmacy University of Uyo. He was appointed as Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Pharmacy December 12, 1998, He later obtained Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm.) degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology 2008 and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Pharmaceutical Microbiology 2015.

Promoted to the rank of a Senior Lecturer same year. Dr. Agboke worked in Ogun State University Teaching Hospital as Intern Pharmacist, 1994-1995, NYSC, Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Centre, University of Uyo 1995-1996, general practicing Pharmacist and Superintendent Pharmacist, 1996 – 1998. He joined academics 1998 as one of the pioneer lecturers in the department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology incorporating Pharmaceutical Microbiology, He is the only Pharmacist in the Pharmaceutical Microbiology unit for over fifteen years and the only Senior Lecturer who is a Pharmacist in the Pharmaceutical microbiology unit till date. He coordinated most of the undergraduate courses in Pharmaceutical Microbiology.

He contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Uyo since 1998. Dr.Agboke was Asst. Dr. JohnsonB.Sc (Chem) UNICAL (1985); MSc (1999) PhD (Pharm. Chem) (2016) ABU Zaria
Experienced researcher in natural products chemistry and pharmaceutical analysis and a thorough bred academic.

He holds B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from University of Calabar where he obtained the Prize for the best graduating student in 1985.

He is currently the Acting Head of Department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry University of Uyo and Editor of reputed academic journals including; NIJOSPHASRandJDPS.

He has research interest in tropical medicinal plants from which he has isolated useful compounds some of which have been published in international and local Journals. He is a member of professional and research groups like Chemical Society of Nigeria and Science Teachers Association of Nigeria as well as Drug Discovery and Research Group. profeseyinPROFESSOR ESEYIN, OLORUNFEMI A. Experienced Professor with research interests in bioprospecting for novel drugs; food-drug interactions and natural products. Grantee of IFS individual research grant and collaborative research grant. USM-TWAS postdoctoral fellow. Current Head of the department of Pharmacognosy and Natural Medicine; and former acting Head of the department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, both in the University of Uyo, Nigeria. Pioneer Editor in Chief of Nigerian Journal of pharmaceutical and Applied Science Research. Holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Biochemistry, respectively. Member, University Professional Ethics committee; Member, University Animal Ethics committee.
