Advertisement for New PGD Programme in Humanitarian Law and Social Justice
The Vice Chancellor has approved the commencement of the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in Humanitarian Law and Social Justice for 2021/2022 academic session Postgraduate School admissions.

Programme:
PGD programme in Humanitarian Law and Social Justice
Admission Requirements:
Candidate seeking admission into Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme in Humanitarian Law and Social Justice should be holders of the following:
- The candidates MUST possess the minimum O’Level entry requirements (5 Credit passes which must include English Language for all applicants.
- Hold an LL.B degree of the University of Uyo or from any other University recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo and who graduated with not less than 1.50 CGPA or,
- He or she holds any undergraduate degree of the University of Uyo or from any other University recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo, who graduated with not less than 1.50 CGPA.
- For specification, any undergraduate degree in (b) above includes a degree from arts, social sciences, humanities, engineering and the sciences.
Duration of the Programme:
The PGD programme shall last for a minimum duration of three (3) semesters with research project and a maximum of five (5) semesters. Extension beyond the duration shall be subject to approval by the University Senate.
Nature of the Programme:
Postgraduate diploma in Humanitarian Law and Social Justice shall be a progressive programme. It shall not be terminal.
However, only students with a Law degree (LL.B) shall be admissible and may proceed to Masters degree in Law (LL.M). Such students must have a “B” Pass in this PGD programme. Students with undergraduate degrees other than Law may proceed to any other discipline that may admit them.
