Five (5) credit passes with credit in English, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other relevant subjects.

Agricultural Education
Degree
For admission into the degree course, prospective students must satisfy the University entry requirements, and in addition the departmental requirements which are as follows:
U.M.E.Entry
Five ‘O’ level credits or equivalent including English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science and a credit in Mathematics.
Direct Entry
1. N.C.E. with Merit or above in Agricultural Education and Education.
2. ‘A’ Level passes or equivalent in Chemistry and any of the following: Biology, Botany, Zoology and Agriculture.
Business Education-Accounting and Management Options
Degree Programme
For admission into the degree programme in Business Education prospective candidates must satisfy the University entry requirements and, in addition, must meet the following requirements:
Candidates with credit passes at Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination or its equivalents in five subjects at not more than two sittings including the following:
U.M.E.
English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two subjects selected from Accounting, History, Geography, Religious Knowledge, Government, Commerce, and Business Methods, Credit in Mathematics may be accepted for admission into Office Studies; in addition to credit in Shorthand, Typewriting and any of the above named subjects.
Direct Entry
1) N.C.E. with merit pass or above in Business Education or Education or Commerce or Accounting, Shorthand, Typewriting and other relevant subjects. 2) Two ‘A level passes chosen from the following: Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography, Shorthand, Typewriting, Grade below a ‘D’ will not be accepted.
3) Holders of OND/HND (Upper Credit) will be considered but they must satisfy the U.M.E. requirements and will be admitted into Year two(2).
Computer Education
To have admission into the degree programme in Computer Education, candidates must satisfy the University entry requirements.
(i) University Matriculation Examination (UME)
(ii) Direct Entry (DE)
(a) U.M.E.: Five ‘O’ Level credit passes or equivalent including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(b) Direct Entry
(i) Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) Upper credit in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry Education or Computer Education
(ii) NCE (Technical Education)
(iii) National Diploma (ND) in Engineering or Computer scope plus credit level pass in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.
(iv) Higher National Diploma (HND) or its equivalent
(v) Successful completion of the University Remedial Programme with credit level in Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
Home Economics Education
(i) University Matriculation Examination (UME)
(ii) Direct Entry (DE)
(a) UME: Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English, Mathematics and two other science subjects. A pass in Chemistry may be accepted but this has to be remedied.
(b) NCE in Home Economic with a minimum of merit pass or GCE ‘A’ level in Chemistry plus Biology/Botany/Agricultural Science, OND Home Economics or Food Science or Hotel and Catering Management.
Technical Education
For admission into the degree programme in Technical Education, prospective candidates must satisfy the University entry requirements and in addition, must meet the following requirements;
1. (i) U.M.E.: Five ‘O’ Level Credits in relevant subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics.
City and Guilds Certificate at intermediate level in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil/Electrical Engineering or Federal Craft Certificate (FCC) with at least a ‘B’ grade in five subjects.
Direct Entry:
(i) City and Guilds Final or its equivalent plus credit level pass in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics in School Certificate.
(ii) National Diploma (ND) in Engineering, Electricity/Electronics plus credit level pass in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics in School Certificate OR Holders of NCE (Technical Education) OR HND or its equivalent.
(iii) Successful completion of the University Remedial Programme, with credit level in Physics and Mathematics.
(iv) Mature Student Programme
(a) Applicant should not be less than 35 years of age.
(b) They should have had a minimum of 15 years of continuous service in where they work.
(c) They should also possess five(5) ‘O’ Level Credits or equivalent.
(d) They should in addition satisfy the prescribed scholastic Aptitude Test and Oral interview requirements.
(e) Master’s degree (M.Sc. (Ed):
M.Sc. (Ed) Agricultural Education
M.Sc. (Ed) Business Education-Accounting and Management Options
M.Sc. (Ed) Computer Education
M.Sc. (Ed) Home Economics Education
M.Sc. (Ed) Technical Education
Admission Requirements
Graduate of the University of Uyo, or other approved Universities with at least a Second Class Honours Degree or its equivalent in relevant areas of Vocational Education.
Candidate who hold other qualifications whose detailed academic records are considered satisfactory by the Senate of the University of Uyo may be admitted into the programme.
(f)Doctorate Degree Ph. D.
