RESTORATION AND RENEWAL: RECORDS UNIT CLEARS OVER 250 TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS IN LESS Than One Month

The University of Uyo has recorded a major milestone in transcript processing with the release of over 250 academic transcripts within weeks of the appointment of the new Head of the Records Unit, Mrs. Abosede Efi.

The development is widely regarded as a significant improvement in service delivery, following years of complaints by graduates over prolonged delays in obtaining transcripts for postgraduate admissions, employment, and other official purposes.

The achievement aligns with the commitment of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Nyong Ekong, who, during his inaugural address, promised to achieve a 72-hour transcript accessibility timeline within the first 100 days of his administration as part of his “Restoring the Promise, Rebuilding the Future” agenda.

Barely one month into the new administration, the progress recorded by the Records Unit is seen as an early indication that the Vice-Chancellor’s renewal agenda is yielding tangible results. Stakeholders have commended Mrs. Efi for her commitment and efficiency in driving reforms aimed at restoring confidence in the University’s transcript processing system.
